There have already been a number of Aztec-themed slots hit casinos in recent times, but Microgaming’s newest game, Golden Princess, will offer a number of new features which will keep slot fans on their toes when the game is released in March 2015.

On the face of it, Golden Princess does seem to look like most other Microgaming slots. It is a 5×3 slot which offers 25-paylines. It also features in game Wilds and Scatter symbols across the reels and has access to a free spins round when you land the requisite number of scatters on the reels.

However, there are some subtle differences between this slot and other games available at present. A good example of this is the Wild bonus in the base game. If you land a winning payline that is created using a Wild symbol, then your payout will be subject to a random multiplier of 2x or 3x.
This lifts the base game somewhat and turns smaller wins into bigger ones, which is a very positive move.

There’s also something different about the free spins round too. You trigger 10, 20 or 30 free spins by landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters across the reels and when the free spins start, the Wilds expand vertically across the reels so they are three symbols high.

That’s not all though, if you land another scatter symbol during free spins you win a bonus amount of money which can be up to 10x the amount of your usual wager in the base game.

Once the free spins are finished, you can then opt to keep your winnings, or you can gamble them on the Card Gamble feature. Here you can predict the colour or the suit of the next card to be drawn from the pack. Predict the right colour and you double your money, predict the right suit and you quadruple your winnings.
